What Can I Expect During My First Visit to a Chiropractor?

At Harnois Chiropractic office, we will ask that you complete a brief admisssions form, provide us with your insurance information, and complete a brief health questionaire. Please be assured that all your information is kept private, as we strictly adhere to HIPPA laws. You will then consult with the doctor. This consultation is your opportunity to express your health concerns and expectations, and to ask any questions you may have pertaining to your visit with us. It is also the time for Dr. Harnois to express his expected role in your health care, and ask how your condition has been affecting you. A physical exam will be performed which may include orthopedic testing, reflex assessments, muscle testing, and a specific Chiropractic evaluation. In some cases x-rays may be necessary to determine an exact diagnosis. X-rays facilities are present on-site. Dr. Harnois may also make recommendations for additional testing as warranted, such as MRI studies. Emergency treatment may be rendered as needed. Before beginning any treatment program, Dr. Harnois will have a report of findings with you to answer any questions you may have including: 1) What is wrong with me in language I can understand, 2) Is Chiropractic care my best treatment option, 3) How long will it take, 4) What is my financial obligation.
